Bush Sentenced to over Four Years for DUI with Serious Bodily Injury

The Tampa Bay Rays former pitcher, Matt Bush, was sentenced for a drunk driving wreck, where he fled the scene, leading to hit-and-run charges as well.

Bush ended up pleading no contest to DUI with serious bodily injury. The other six charges were dismissed as part of the plea deal. Bush will lose his license for 10 years. He will be in custody for four years and three months. His criminal defense lawyer said the deal was fair.

Allegedly, Bush's BAC was .018, which is over two times the legal limit. He allegedly crashed into a motorcycle and then fled the scene.

Bush was the top draft pick in 2004.
