DUI Patrols Increase For Thanksgiving

Kansas University Police Officers, Kansas Department of Revenue's Alcoholic Beverage Control, Lawrence police, and the Douglas County Sheriff's office are part of the Fake ID 101 task force. They issued tickets to 32 people in Lawrence, Thursday night, targeting underage drinking. They are prepping early up for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

42.5 million people are expected to travel during the upcoming Thanksgiving week. Lawrence, Kansas police, as well as law enforcement across Kansas, as well as other States, are significantly increasing their traffic patrol. They are participating in the Kansas Thanksgiving Traffic Enforcement Campaign, which started this past Monday, thanks to a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation.

Be safe over the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. Think about how you are going to get home and don't drive drunk. It could ruin your Christams and Thanksgiving. You don't want to get a DUI.
